My Virtual Assistant Story and Journey

I will never forget that day, March 11, 2020, when I received a message from our Crewing Manager that our schedule to join the ship was cancelled because of Covid-19. (I used to work onboard International Cruise Ships cruising worldwide as Front Desk Receptionist with 6+ years of experience on Administrative tasks and Customer Service.)

Pandemic hit me hard (really hard) like everyone else. Suddenly, my world stopped. This devastating pandemic experience has opened up my eyes to the amazing world of a Work-from-Home career (big credit to my friend Jhen who introduced it for me to try). Since then I started to watch free tutorials/courses online.

Soon after I landed my first Virtual client based in Canada as Lead Gen and Appointment Setter (Non-voice). It was a 6-month great work experience.
After my contract, I enrolled myself in a paid REVA course with a 1-month training online course and 5 weeks of training as a Social Media Content creator and Canva design under Surge: Filipino Virtual Assistance.

Though I still continue to learn new things, I still don't consider myself an Expert. As quoted by Helen Hayes, "Every Expert was once a Beginner." I am, however, a person who believes that to be a successful VA is to help others first, understand your clients' needs, respect them and provide dedicated support. I value honesty, trust and integrity.

My exciting VA Career story has just began.

The JOURNEY of greater things has yet to come.

There's no looking back, only moving forward.

Adventure continues.
